About Liskeard & Looe Foodbank

Here is an introduction to our project.

Liskeard & Looe Foodbank was started in 2010 as a direct response to the poverty seen in the streets of our towns and villages in South East Cornwall.

Our foodbank is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in our local area.

Food is donated by churches, chapels, schools, businesses and individuals; it is brought to our new warehouse at Trevecca Industrial Estate, Liskeard,  where it is sorted, stored and packed into emergency food boxes by volunteers, to be distributed throughout much of South East Cornwall from our client office at 21 Dean Street Liskeard.

As well as our Foodbank Centre in Liskeard which is open FOUR  mornings a week Mon/Weds/Thurs/Fri for clients to collect their food help, we have a depot in Torpoint open Mon/Weds/Fri mornings.

Due to the rural nature of this area, emergency food parcels are delivered to villages by a network of local volunteers covering Looe and the villages from Polruan to Rame Head and up on to Bodmin Moor.
